It’s important to minister to people, but not to do so to the point of exhaustion.
Jesus withdrew with his disciples to rest, because he was weary from ministering to all the people.
Where are we, in our life, to busy or too tired to meet the needs of those around us?
What is leading us or motivating us in our service? If it’s just the needs of people, we need to withdraw and rest. It needs to be the leading of God’s spirit that motivates us.
Jesus chose such a variety of men for his disciples, and we ask why did He choose these particular men? Because they were seekers of Christ and trusting in Christ. They were ordinary people,wanting to serve him.
Are we prepared to serve Christ?
