Roblox is implementing new child safety measures that use AI-powered facial age estimation to restrict communication between adults and minors. The new system will require all users who want to access chat features to verify their age, with a global rollout planned for early January 2026.  The process involves taking a video selfie via the Roblox app. A third-party vendor, Persona, uses AI to estimate the user's age based on the facial scan.
