When Robyn Rose was ten or twelve years old, through no fault of her own, something happened that shouldn't have. At that age, our minds don't know what to think. Robyn's mind decided that what happened was her fault, and that distorted thinking shaped her self-perception for decades.

While "the unexamined life is not worth living," is a stronger stance than I take, I do believe the examined life allows a person to get smarter about how to live it. 

So, that's what I do here—reflect on my life or something from life. My hope is that my public reflections prompt your own private reflections and that together we build a life with a little more breathing room, a little more intelligence, a little more forgiveness for ourselves and those we love.
