Robyn Lao, a pediatric acute care NP, walks us through her legislative journey, working with the Asthma and Food Allergy Foundation of America and her own daughter, Addie, to get SB 68 passed in California in 2025. Her bravery and perseverance were a critical part of getting critical protections in place for people with food allergies. She describes how her work with the National Association and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners helped prepare and support her for this endeavor.
