It's the kick off of San Diego Craft Beer Week and it's also the kick off of Victory as Sea season! Jeff from Ballast Point drops in for a first taste of this year's Victory As Sea and all the details on why we're getting this beer now instead of in December!

A perfect beer for this time a year! Malty, smooth, crushable and delicious Alpine Afterglow is a Vienna Style Lager that will have you in the mood for rich soups, warm blankets and maybe a cozy fire.

As the Pure Project and Wildcoast release party for Baja Breach is happening at Sea House in Encinitas, Jensen and Anne brought a beer of a different type. Something from the N/A variety!

Earlier this year Pure Project and WIldcoast releaed their first beer collab to help with the mangrove conservation effort. Today we're getting a chance to try Rewild.

We started this conversation around 2 years ago, when Pure Project as part of their 1% for the Planet partnered with WIldcoast to promote what they were doing to keep the waters off our coast clear. Since then the partnership bloomed into not one but as of this week, two beers! Earlier this year they introduced Rewild a West Coast Pale Ale, this week they unveil Baja Breach West Coast IPA. Jensen from Pure Project and Anne from Wildcoast tell us how this all came together and what the beer is benifiting.

Ninty degree day. Imperial Stout? Absolutly! After all Bacon & Eggs is more like an 8%ABV iced coffee then it is a Imperial Porter. We wrap up the week with a fantastic Pizza Port Seasonal that will put you in the Fall mood.

There's no time where hops effect a beer more then Wet Hop season since each plant is a snapshot of what happen ecologically over the past year. Sometime local events also have an impact on the beer, in OB it was rather rainy when this beer was first brewed and between the hops that year and the 3-day old Huracan parked in the new appartment complex down the street both made history books!

Sometimes really good beers take time to develop. For Pizza Port brewing, creating a modern IPA that can sit a long side a staple West Coast IPA like Swami's it took two years of tinkering for the team to create Coastin' Tropical IPA.

Put this in my category of beers that I think you should drink when it's hot out! PIzza Port Imperial Beach crafted this wonderful Schwarzbier. Translated from German it means "black beer" and while a lot of people instantly think that means it's going to be heavy, it's not. This low ABV lager is just as easy drinking as any fizzy yellow lager but with more flavor and the Pizza Port Crew explain why!

Pretty sure this crew just stepped off the jetway from The Great American Beer Fest in Denver, a whole bunch of Pizza Port Brewing's finest have made their way to the Alt 94/9 studios to talk about what they've been up to!
