He makes the essential point that within the greatest songs and lyrics of the past decades, the Rock gods – Dire Straits, Kansas, Pink Floyd, Bob Seger, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Credence Clearwater Revival, the ULTIMATE Rush, the list goes on and on -- taught the whole world how to live the best possible life. This one is a real thinker. Additionally, there is lots of degression into what makes a band or performer excellent and why today’s music doesn’t hold up when you compare it to what came before.
