Ben DuBose, editor of The Rockets Wire, joins Next Up to recap the Houston Rockets defeating the Sacramento Kings 112-104 Sunday at the Golden 1 Center. The win marks three straight road victories for the Rockets, who will travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs on Tuesday. In the final minutes of the Kings games, Alperen Şengün challenged King's center Domantas Sabonis in a transition play that resulted in an awkward fall for Şengün who was taken to the locker room in a wheelchair. Şengün will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injuries. While Şengün's offensive production will be missed in the starting rotation, the biggest question that DuBose wants the answer to is "can he get cleared by midpoint of the offseason?" DuBose also looks to Jalen Green and Cam Whitmore to step-up in Şengün's absence. "It's more about how do they fill that scoring and playmaking." The Rockets currently stand at 11th in the Western Conference and are four games out from the final spot in the Play-In Tournament. With only a month left in the regular season, many are not optimistic about the Rockets making the playoffs. "They're not going to give up" because "[Ime] Udoka wants these guys to go out and embrace the challenge." While the making the playoffs seems like a difficult feat, DuBose says the Rockets have played "with a vengeance" following the All-Star break. "You're going to go into this offseason feeling pretty good about what they've done."
