X was an American punk rock band, formed in Los Angeles in 1977. The original members were vocalist Exene Cervenka, vocalist–bassist John Doe, guitarist Billy Zoom and drummer D. J. Bonebrake. The band released seven studio albums from 1980 to 1993.

X is best known for their hit songs "We're Desperate" and "Los Angeles". They have released several albums throughout their career, including the critically acclaimed "More Fun in the New World" and "Ain't Love Grand". X has been an influential force in the punk rock scene since their formation in 1977.
