When it comes to goalkicking there is none better than in WA history than Rod “Rocket” Tregenza.
Rocket retired in 2015 with 1815 goals. That’s right 1815 goals across a career which included 6 clubs in 3 states and the title of WA’s greatest ever goalkicker.
His tally of 1815 is better than WA football legends Austin Robertson, Ted Tyson, George Doig and Bernie Naylor.
He played in WA, South Australia and Victoria for South Mandurah, Peel, East Fremantle, Murray Bushrangers and a stint in the AFL with North Melbourne under Denis Pagan.
Booted 238 goals in a season for South Mandurah in 2008 in the Peel Football League. His best one day…a lazy 27.
Most of his 1815 goals came for South Mandurah across more than 200 Games for his beloved Falcons.
His fascinating career is one worth listening to if you want some tips on finding the big sticks.
Bush Footy Legends is produced by Magic Studios and presented by the WA Country Football League in partnership with Healthway promoting the Think Mental Health message.
