TW: PRETTY MILD CRITICISM OF THE INSTITUTION OF WHITENESS AND ITS FANS
Tranos is tired. The response to Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion that the court should overturn Roe v. Wade was obvious, underwhelming and annoying. White women who respond only seasonally to oppression scrambled to put up ungrounded protests that fail to address the structural and social problems that make instant removal of abortion access possible. The lack of bodily autonomy for people in the United States is by design, but white women mostly don’t have to think about it, so why do some of them want to criticize lifelong activists of color and queer activists for not lining up behind them? Tranos investigates, but it’s because they’re racist.
