"Roe Vs. Wade Overturned in 2022?" Ep. 33

"Roe Vs. Wade Overturned in 2022? " @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #33  The latest, "unprecedented" shake up in America is the leak of an opinion drafted by supreme court justice Alito, which was in regards to the Roe vs. Wade legislation that protects women's rights. More specifically, abortion rights. It's unbelievable that we are discussing this in 2022. The conservatives in our country are strategically reversing all of the progress in the areas of civil and human rights. It seems like just last week republicans, conservatives - freedom liberty seekers were just yelling, "my body, my choice" when it came to the mask and vaccine mandates. Now with abortion it's a completely different tune. They should keep the same energy when it comes to other people's decisions for their life that literally doesn't impact them in any way. We truly have to work towards minding our own business, our own lives and decisions, which is a lot in itself, but to also worry about what others are doing is mind boggling. We have to stop trying to make others live, believe, walk and talk as we do.

I'm a devout believer in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and if this is truly a faith issue then leave that between God and the individual. The Bible doesn't specifically speak on abortion, and the scriptures that are being used are being taken out of context and used to justify people's stance. A lot of the scriptures and teachings I know of have more to do with love, forgiveness, repentance, redemption and salvation. Not of hate that I see so often from the anti-abortion movement, far right extremists poorly reflects the true teachings of Jesus. I always wonder if they actually read the Bible. We touch on so many things in this episode, so buckle up.
