Romans 2:12-24

Because God judges impartially, according to the light He has given, neither ignorance, religious privilege, nor hidden sin can shelter you from the judgment of God. Your only refuge, beloved, is the perfect righteousness of Christ.

Matthew 8:28-34

In this passage, Matthew is showing us that there is no middle way. To not follow Jesus is in fact to follow these demons whether you realize it or not.

James 1:1-12

The Christian can rejoice in suffering knowing that it leads to maturity.

Colossians 3:1-4

What do you set your mind to every day? Is it just in the things of this world, the everyday mundane things, or do you seek the things that are above?

Romans 2:1-11

We've seen the sinner standing before an impartial God. I reminded you that Paul's purpose here is to humble us in our understanding and in our judgment and that these principles that we've been gleaning from this section of God's word should be lived out right before us every day and within us every day. We should begin to interpret the world we live in, the God we serve, and especially ourselves, through the lens of God's word here as it's presented to us.

Romans 2:6-11

Works are not the grounds of our justification. but they are the fruit of a living faith. Grace changes us as persons because we have been justified.

Romans 2:1-6

It is a horrible place, a terrible danger for those who profess faith in Christ alone when knowing the truth becomes a substitute for being humbled by the truth.

Romans 2:1-11

The Apostle Paul is going to confront us with three realities. First, he's going to show us the judge who condemns others is himself condemned by God's truth. Second, he's going to show us the sinner who presumes upon God's kindness is being summoned to repentance. And third, he will show us that every sinner will stand before the impartial judgment of God. The question on the table is this: What will happen when God, whose judgment I pronounce upon others, turns His judgment upon me?

Hosea 6:6

If everything God desired was found perfectly in Christ, how does what is true of Christ become yours and mine? That question brings us to one of the richest doctrines in all of scripture and that is our union with Christ.

Romans 1:28-32

Who decides what's true? Who determines what's right? Who defines what's good and evil? Who establishes the boundaries of your life? In other words, will God remain upon the throne of your heart, or have you quietly attempted to place Him on trial?
