Welcome to a special episode of Rogue Creators! Today, I'm interviewing Steven Crovotta, marking our first video episode and our first guest from outside southern Oregon. If you're listening, be sure to watch the video on our YouTube channel, Rogue Creators (link in the show notes).
Steven has developed several successful mobile apps without writing any code, contracting out the design and development instead. His YouTube channel offers practical advice on app creation and marketing. Inspired by his content, I reached out to him, and he graciously agreed to join the show.
In this episode, Steven shares his journey from being inspired by his dad and "The Social Network" to becoming an app developer. He talks about learning marketing through social media, the importance of a supportive community, and the value of sharing real knowledge.

Joey Recipe is the founder and CEO of Joey’s hot sauce, which if you’ve not tried it yet you owe it to yourself to check it out. I’m a huge fan of his hot sauce. He’s also someone that stands out whenever I have been to the farmers market as a friendly person, but also a real go-getter. I’m inspired by his brand and work ethic. He also was in the Netflix documentary called Bad Vegan. We’ll touch on in this episode as well. I had a lot of fun recording this episode. I hope you enjoy it too.
Today I’m talking with Galen Wright. He’s a business owner, a screenwriter and a long time friend. He has immense experience and wisdom in the world of advertising. He also is in the process of writing several different screen plays, and has a lot of interesting insights in the world of writing. . It was a pleasure talking with him. I hope you enjoy our conversation as much as I did.

Jake Terando is the Co-Founder of Forage Coffee in Medford. Forage coffee is a beloved institution that revitalized an area of Medford that has been blighted since I was a kid. They are also the only (to my knowledge) third way coffee shop in Medford. He is an extremely enthusiastic, smart and fun guest with a great story.
Craig Black is the founder of Blackstone Publishing in Ashland Oregon. He also happens to be my father, so I thought it was apt to have him as my first guest. Blackstone is an awesome book / audiobook publishing company here in the rogue valley.
