Set in the fictional country of Hadea, the hermit nation is embroiled in civil war. The protagonist, Remi, returns to his country after years away to discover his past.

Hell is Us is shying away from being called ‘Soulslike’ in its approach. Instead, combat is designed to offer a worthwhile challenge to players without feeling “punitive.” With various skills to unleash and enemy patterns to adapt, multiple weapons and abilities help guide Remi.
