I am now in San Pedro, Belize. Or as Madonna calls it “La Isla Bonita”.

Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day” is on repeat. I am both overwhelmed and humbled by the beauty here. It is not perfect. But I am. Here, I feel perfect. As in, whole and complete. Nothing to fix. Nothing to prove or IMprove. I’m not “tired” here. I love my country, but we are in bad shape right now, and I HAD to find some goodness, some peace and some radical detachment so that I can breathe.

I wish for everyone reading this to find your Belize.
