RECAP TIME:

Our heroes had returned to Delnori, the chasm city on the west coast and found home, and were preparing for the next phase of their adventure.

Xethir would likely return soon, and with the Surgepyres under his control, he planed to resurrect his otherworldly god with the power of an interdimensional surge that happens every thousand-or-so years… and the clock had run down.

They had discovered two contracts for work, the first from the Empire’s Apotheos district, which our heroes identified as the very same mission for the Piece of Terror. Leaving them with a decision: to either take the job and find out who in the Apotheos is working for Xethir, or to find the shard in competition with whoever takes the job.

In the last couple of days before they flee the city, our heroes spent much needed time with those they loved… and those they hoped to love. As well as cook their socks off creating a fine dining menu of deserts for the Chasm Chronicle’s harshest critic…

But, there was a spy within the cliffs and sneaking along the rooftops. And Freya awoke to find them looking at her through her window.
