RECAP TIME:
After surviving a storm worse than any Captain Killid had ever seen, our heroes regrouped and forged on to the island that marked the next location on the ancient map of Zarlumai, the drown city.
They had already found and explored the first of two ancient Chambers with the pirate crew of the Oddmium Trist. Yelanriae, the first tomb, was an undead place, submerged under the bedrock of the Broken Sea, where with Killid's blood, they successfully forged the bloody key and escaped.
But as they arrived at the island that would hopefully lead to the second location, the Seal Sanctum, Sentinel was called by their patron. They were in the depths of admonishing themselves after attuning to the cursed Arbitel of the Burrowed Worlds, (and quickly severing their connection with it through Freya's magic). But their patron was not happy with their distancing themselves… and as an awkward punishment, grounded Sentinel in their domain, the Subtle House, for one day.
Sentinel took it as an opportunity explore the Toiaska Wing of the Subtle house, a place beyond the courtyard that was shrouded in the black smoke of the Forgotten that ate away at their patron's domain.
With Freya and Ora standing guard at the conspicuous portal in the ships hold, the rest of our heroes dove into the Toiaska Wing of the Subtle house… and were not alone.
