Arriving back in Dustmere, the city in the sand, our heroes took up the job of an Apotheos Keeper, Knight of the Divine arm of Asildian rule. Faith was highly controlled in the Empire and they were hunting the source of strange new worshipping of a Duke and his supposed miracles. After identifying strings of illusory magic spooling from worshippers’ heads and down into the ground, our heroes (along with Clayton) decided to descend into the tunnels beneath the city and investigate. They broke through a sealed door into a damp complex of sewers with gullies collecting and rerouting water from the Dunria river. They discovered tiefling bodies, notes ordering the feeding of something, artificed levers, and eventually… a large creature disturbing the water of the deeper canals.
