Immortal Sugimoto, a seemingly unkillable former soldier from the Russo-Japanese war, goes on a hunt for a massive gold treasure with the unlikely aid of Asirpa, a young Ainu girl.  Others, notably a rogue element of the Japanese military, are also searching for it.  What follows is a brutal, violent, and frequently deadly story that is generally well-told and solidly animated.  Just watch out for rogue Orca whale attacks… on land.
