Rollins Walker lost his two-year-old sister to burns resulting from a firebombing. He later lost his mother from a homicide that was a follow-on to that firebombing. He was raised under the influence of drugs and alcohol. However, he knew intuitively and through critical thinking that that lifestyle "would not end well." Despite the negative influences in his life, he focused on the positives he had. One of those was his grandmother. Because of his positive mindset, he is living a very successful married life following a 20-year career with the U.S. Navy.
