Romain Avril: the almost-vegan French chef

French-born chef Romain Avril spent time at the helm of several Michelin star establishments in his home country and in the UK before making a move for Toronto, Canada where he joined the team at famed addresses Lavelle and Goldie Bar. Today, with his own company and a first cookbook under his belt (coming out this spring), Romain is working on what's next while navigating the challenges the pandemic brought to the hospitality industry. In this episode of On my plate, Chef Romain Avril shares his views on being 'almost a vegan' with host Bianca Osbourne; he explains why langoustines will always be synonymous with family home-cooked meals for him and proves that he is indeed passionate about his profession, and about food in general!
