This movie has been realised by CNR ISPC in collaboration with SD CInamtografica, in the context of the Virtual Museum of the Walls of Rome, commissioned by Soprintendenza Capitolina.
The actions develop in a tower located along the city Walls near Porta San Sebastiano, in Rome.
We are at the end of the 3rd century AD. A common soldier, as he does every day, dons his mail, puts on his weapons, and assists his commander in fastening his cuirass. Weapons are prepared, the efficiency of the equipment is checked, and each man takes up his assigned post on guard duty.
In this way, with the help of props and costumes inspired by the ancient sources that have come down to us, we can imagine one of the many scenes that would have taken place within the towers during the periods when they fully served their strategic defensive function.
