He Explains what grafting a plant means and how Israel (Jews, beginning with Abraham) are the root and how everyone else in the church are (gentiles) grafted into the root by Grace. Paul unveils a “mystery”: a partial hardening on Israel lasts until the fullness of the Gentiles comes in; then “all Israel will be saved” (vs. 26)
