People Over Preferences Whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. In a church divided by scruples, Paul calls us to lay down personal freedoms for the sake of love, refusing to trip one another over food, days, or secondary convictions. The kingdom isn’t about eating and drinking—it’s righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit—so we pursue what makes for peace and builds others up.
