Welcome to The Safe Space!
As Paul brings his letter to the Roman church to a close, he leaves believers with a powerful and practical call: to live not for ourselves, but for one another. We are urged to seek the good of others, to do what is right, and to build each other up in faith and love.
Paul reminds us of Christ’s example—how He came first as a servant to the Jewish people, fulfilling God’s promises to their ancestors, and also to the Gentiles, so that all might glorify God for His mercy. These truths, written long ago in the Scriptures, continue to teach us today, offering hope and encouragement as we patiently wait for God’s promises to unfold.
In a heartfelt prayer, Paul points us to God as the true source of hope—asking that He would fill believers with complete joy and peace through trust in Him. It is through this trust that we overflow with confident hope, empowered by the Holy Spirit.
As Paul shares his personal plans and final greetings, he humbly asks for prayer—for protection from those who oppose the message, and for open hearts among believers to receive and support the work being done.
Yet, he also offers a final word of caution. Believers must remain watchful against those who create division and distort the truth for personal gain. With reassuring confidence, Paul affirms their obedience and calls them to remain wise in doing good while staying innocent of evil.
And then, with both assurance and grace, he leaves us with this enduring promise: the God of peace will ultimately triumph, crushing evil underfoot.
This closing passage is both a challenge and a comfort—a reminder to live selflessly, stand firm in truth, and rest in the unshakable hope we have in God.
Verse of the Day: Psalms 39:7
And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you.
Reminder of the Day:
God holds the only hope that does not disappoint.
