The gospel doesn’t just adjust the margins of our lives. It completely rearranges them. In this passage, Paul reveals what motivates his ministry: thanksgiving in prayer, a longing to strengthen and build up the church, and an eagerness to reach everyone with the good news of Jesus. His example shows us that a life changed by the gospel is a life lived with urgency, clarity, and joy.
Here are some things we’ll learn from Romans 1:8–15:
· Why the gospel changes how we pray with gratitude.
· How spiritual gifts are given to strengthen and encourage the church.
· What it means to live eager and unashamed to share Jesus with others.
· A corrective to our church about what that means for us
· How Paul’s sense of debt to all people shapes our mission today.
· How stories of transformed lives remind us that eternity is at stake.
