* But if you don’t have an inward relationship then your outward appearance means nothing.

* vs 28 - Jesus challenged those Jews who only focused on the outward but not the inward.

* Circumcision was a private matter - you didn’t show it to people publicly.

* vs 29 - Those who are circumcised inwardly live to please God and not man.

* They don’t parade around their religiosity for full display.
