Romans 5:3-4

ESV (English Standard Version)

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.

NLT (New Living Translation)

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

• Consider how facing trials can develop endurance and strengthen your hope.

• Reach out to someone in your community who may be going through a difficult time.
• Offer them your support, a listening ear, or a helping hand.

Pray

1. Pray for individuals who are facing trials and discomforts, asking for God's presence and strength in their lives.
2. Pray for your community to grow in understanding, empathy, and support of one another.
3. Pray for yourself to be transformed, embracing discomfort as a place to encounter Jesus and to grow in faith.
