* By Christ’s death and our confession we are “reconciled” with God.

* This means we “match” Him - we’re as sinless as He is.

* My mom used to reconcile her checkbook each week.

* She’d record her transactions, then at the end of the month she’d get a bank statement.

* She’d sit at the table and make sure her checkbook matched the bank.

* This kept her from over drafting the account.

* The bank wasn’t wrong - if something was off she was wrong.

* God is never wrong - we are wrong.

* But His Son takes our penalty and reconciles us to God.

* We match God because of what Christ did.
