Romans 8:28 is one of the most popular verses in the Bible, but to really

understand it, we must put it in the context of Romans 8:28-30. All things

do work together for the good for the Christian. Why? Because God

predestined us to be conformed to the image of the Son of God. God is the

potter and we are the clay. All believers have a carnal soul that will need

a continual or progressive sanctification for the rest of our lives. Our

spirits are justified and in right relationship with God, but our souls
