The Apostle Paul, in Rom. 8:1-17, teaches us that Christians are free from the law of sin and death, empowered to walk in newness of life, and now adopted as the very children of God - coheirs with Christ Himself. And yet, it is frequently difficult to connect Paul's lofty teaching with our daily reality - the mundanity of ordinary life, relational difficulties, illnesses, and/or seasons of challenge, confusion, and suffering.
