Intro: Do you have a favorite Psalm? I’m sure that many of you do. Maybe it’s Psalm 23, “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want”. Or Psalm 46, “God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Maybe you have a favorite verse from the Ps’s: Cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain you. (Ps 55:22)
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. (Ps 56:3) The Psalms have been a tremendous source of comfort and encouragement for God’s saints throughout the ages. They are such an incredible comfort in times of grief or trial. Aren’t you glad to know that the Lord is your Shepherd?
