Have you ever thought that God was unfair? Maybe you experienced some great
heartache, some great loss in your life – and it didn’t seem fair. I have to confess that I have been tempted to question God on this issue – most recently this past year as Randy was dying of cancer. It didn’t seem right that a man, in his prime, with his family still needing him, loved by so many – should be taken away just after his 53rd birthday. Some of you may be wrestling with this very thing this morning. Maybe God has given you a debilitating disease you never expected. Maybe you God hasn’t blessed you with something you dearly want – a spouse, a child, a job – things that most people enjoy, and yet God has kept this thing from you. And it doesn’t seem fair.
