In this episode, Scott kicks off our new Christmas series. Each week, we're going to look at a different geographical location that is connected to the story of Jesus' birth. In this first week, we look at Rome. Now, there are many things Rome represents and means in the New Testament, but a big contrast we see between Rome and Jesus is an understanding of power. There is a worldly way power is exercised in a "power over" way of being and the way Jesus taught and modeled of a "power with" way of being. This message challenges us to consider which model we find ourselves operating and living in.
