Ron is the "Chief Malt Hustler" at Alameda Maltings, where they provide the crucial ingredient of malt for NorCal craft brewers, as well as for makers of fine whiskey. Located at 651A W Tower Ave, the site is also home to The Rake, a dog-and-family-friendly pub  featuring great food, and a wide selection of beers made with malt from the facility. Host Scott Piehler talks with Ron about malting, brewing, sustainable farming, and why floor malting makes a difference.
