ROOST: A Turkey Hunting Show

We say goodbye to the season with one last go at the Merriam’s we love to hate.

Ben screws it up, while Sam gets on a roll in the turkey woods. May is on full swing and the stories are almost endless.

We’re riding the snow line and chasing longbeards in Idaho, a review of our hits, misses and a date with the Nemesis Bird.

We’re joined by Beth Shimanski of Savage Arms and outdoor writer Zach Hein for a recap of their hunt in the mountains of Idaho.

Ben looks to break his lifelong Montana turkey curse.  

Sam and Josh Soholt meet up with some hunt winners to hit up the hills of Nebraska in what should be peak strut. We’ll see if they’re right.

Nick Andrews of the Hunting Public is our Spirit Animal. He joins the show for a recap of their (and our) hunts thus far.

We’re wrapping up the tour with the tales of how the turkeys won, and catching up with Chef and author of The Turkey Book Jesse Griffiths on his Texas season thus far.

We’re switching it up and hitting up a West Texas 4,000 acre ranch to see how our run and gun Western tactics do in dry mesquite flats. 

We’re hunting just outside of a small suburban property with a ton of birds. We’re hoping the conditions are right for an early April Texas Rio!
