Keep being #fearless in your study! In the days when the judges ruled, a famine drives Naomi and her husband Elimelech from Bethlehem in Judah to the land of Moab. Tragedy strikes: Elimelech dies, and years later both of their sons also pass away, leaving Naomi widowed and childless with her two Moabite daughters-in-law, Orpah and Ruth. When Naomi hears that the Lord has visited His people with food, she decides to return home. Orpah stays in Moab, but Ruth makes one of the most beautiful declarations of loyalty in Scripture: “Entreat me not to leave thee… for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God” (Ruth 1:16).The two widows arrive in Bethlehem at the beginning of the barley harvest. Ruth, seeking to provide for them, gleans in the fields and providentially comes to the portion belonging to Boaz—a wealthy and honorable kinsman of Elimelech. Boaz notices Ruth’s diligence, kindness, and devotion to Naomi, and he protects and blesses her.Following Naomi’s wise counsel, Ruth boldly approaches Boaz at the threshing floor and asks him to act as kinsman-redeemer. After a closer relative declines, Boaz willingly redeems the family line, marries Ruth, and restores Naomi’s hope. Their son Obed becomes the grandfather of King David—placing Ruth, a Moabite outsider, directly in the royal lineage that leads to the Messiah, Jesus Christ.#jesuschrist #ruth #viral #new #episode #love #boaz #highpriest #bible #study #scripture #fearless #naomi #faithful #redemption
