What does it look like to trust God when you’re raising a family on your own and don’t have all the means or answers?
In this special episode of Rooted and Real, I’m sitting down with my mom to talk about her journey as a single mama, the sacrifices she made for her children, and the ways God faithfully provided for our family.
We talk about what it means to get on your knees and pray when you don’t know how things are going to work out, the reality of spiritual warfare, and how God often answers prayers through the obedience of other people.
But one of the most powerful parts of this conversation is a mother’s heart: wanting her children to have eternal life more than anything this world could ever offer them.
This is a conversation about faith that holds on, prayers prayed in the unseen moments, provision that comes when you need it most, and a God who remains faithful even when the road is hard.
If you’re in a season of waiting, struggling to trust God with your family’s needs, or wondering how He’s going to make a way, I hope this conversation reminds you that you are not forgotten.
Sometimes God provides in ways we never expected, through people we never saw coming, and in moments when we have nothing left to do but pray.
God is still faithful. And sometimes, you’re living in the answer to somebody else’s prayers.
In this episode of Rooted and Real, I’m sitting down with my sister just 16months apart to laugh about growing up together, share some childhood memories, expose each other a little, and talk about the bond only sisters can understand.
But somewhere between the laughter and the memories, we get real about growing up, changing, and watching each other become the women God created us to be.
In this conversation, Molly opens up about identity, the danger of clinging to the wrong one, and how it can lead us into dark places. We talk about the importance of knowing who Christ is so we can truly understand who we are in Him. Because when we build our identity on the wrong things, we can lose sight of who God created us to be. A real and honest conversation about identity, faith, and finding our way back to Christ.
Sometimes the wilderness gets so uncomfortable that we start romanticizing the very places God delivered us from. In this episode of Rooted and Real, we’re talking about leaving Egypt, the temptation to look back, and learning to trust God even when freedom feels unfamiliar. Just because the wilderness is hard doesn't mean Egypt was better.
Surrender sounds simple until God asks us to actually let go.
We can ask God to fix our circumstances, change our situation, open the door, remove the struggle, or give us the answer we want. But sometimes surrender means laying down our need to control the outcome and trusting God with what happens next.
What if we stopped trying to earn the love of Jesus and simply learned to rest in the love He has already shown us?
In this episode of Rooted & Real, we’re talking about the sweetness of being loved by Jesus, a love that knows us completely, meets us in our weakness, doesn’t disappear when we struggle, and invites us to come closer.
Because the sweetest love we’ll ever know is the love we never have to earn.
Honest conversation about faith, fear, and the things we keep putting off.
In this episode, we’re having an honest conversation about the difference between waiting on God’s timing and letting fear keep us stuck. We’re talking about seeking God’s direction, wanting Him to agree with our plans, asking for one more sign, and learning that faith doesn’t always mean we feel ready.
I’ve always loved people. I remember being younger and crying when I saw homeless people on the side of the road because I didn’t just see their circumstances, I saw a person with a real story. Somewhere along the way, society gave me reasons to question that compassion, and I realized how easy it is to let the world harden the parts of us that used to care so deeply.
In this episode, I’m talking about what it means to love people biblically, to see all sides, and to acknowledge that someone can hurt you and you can still love them.
Loving people doesn’t mean tolerating disrespect or abuse.
I don’t want somebody else’s lack of love to teach me how to stop loving.
Let’s talk about keeping a heart that still sees people.
Have you ever blamed the enemy for everything that goes wrong? I know I have.
In this episode, I’m talking about how sometimes we give the enemy way more power than he actually has. Not saying spiritual warfare isn’t real, because it is, but sometimes we’re so focused on what the enemy is doing that we forget who God is.
We give fear, doubt, anxiety, our past, and negative thoughts way too much control over us.
This is just a real conversation about learning to recognize the voice we’re listening to, stop giving the enemy so much credit, and remember that God still has the final say.
Because the enemy can whisper… but he doesn’t get to write the story.
What if we stopped trying to earn God’s love and actually believed that He loved us first? Today we’re talking about 1 John 4:9–10, what God’s love really looks like, and why His love is so different from the love we’ve experienced from people. His love isn’t based on our performance, it starts with Him. And there is so much freedom in that.
