“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
I used to think rest was weakness.
That if I wasn’t constantly working — for my clients, my company, my dreams — I was falling behind.
But Matthew 11:28–30 met me in a season when I was burnt out, physically and spiritually. I was trying to be everything for everyone — and it almost cost me my life.
“I ended up in two comas back to back because I was trying to be all things to all people.”
That moment changed everything for me.
It was the first time I truly heard God say, “Stop. Let me carry this.”
🌿 When Rest Becomes Holy
God doesn’t just call us to work — He calls us to rest.
We often forget that rest is part of the rhythm of creation.God worked six days and rested on the seventh — not because He was tired, but because He was finished.
That same principle applies to us.There comes a point when we’ve done what we can do, and the rest belongs to God.
“Rest is just as holy as work. In fact, rest is working — because when we rest, God gets to do His part.”
🕊 Release the Hustle
There’s a lie we’ve all been sold — that hustle equals purpose. But the truth? Hustle without peace is bondage.
When you’re constantly overextending, worrying, or questioning whether you’re enough, you’re operating from fear, not faith.
I had to learn that the what ifs — the uncontrollable parts of my story — belong to God.
“The inevitable, the unknown, the what if — that is the space where God exists.”
And when I finally stopped trying to control everything, I realized — peace is the reward for surrender.
💭 What’s Draining Your Spirit?
Today’s reflection is simple, but powerful:
What’s draining your spirit right now?
Maybe it’s work.Maybe it’s your need to be perfect.Maybe it’s the fear of failing before you’ve even started.
Whatever it is — give it to God.
“Because it’s only draining you because it’s not yours to deal with.”
Rest in what you’ve already done. Trust that it’s enough. And remember: You can’t heal or hear God in chaos.
🌸 Final Thought
You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to know how it’s going to work out.You just have to rest — and let God do what only He can do.
Peace over pressure. Always.
