Three Stars
not what I though it was

sadly, I found this book lacking in substance, other than the regular well known info on tending roses. I don't feel it was worth the price.
One Star
This book is a waste of money.
What a Ripoff.
I would give this book zero stars if possible. The title is, "Rose Bush--How to Grow a Rose Bush from a Bud, Bloom or Beyond."
I was looking for a book that explained how to start a rose bush from a cutting. There is nothing in this skinny book that says anything about starting or cloning roses. In fact, there is nothing in this book that any second-rate student hasn't learned from science lessons.
Here's a quote from Chapter 3: "Once the rose bushes are filled with water, or watered insufficiently, they will die because rose plants are very delicate when it comes to watering." That's it on watering." Yup. That says it all. Similarly I learned to dig a hole, and to watch for bugs before they get out of hand.
At least I can tear out the 12 pages, plus the four pages advertising other books and the three pages left blank ("NOTES") and use them as mulch.
Good read for beginner rose enthusiasts
While this book is pretty basic, I thought it was a good starting point for anyone who is interested in planting a few rose bushes in their yard.
