John played three years of varsity baseball at Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles. As a sophomore in high school he was named defensive player of the year, Second Team All-Mission League as a junior (2015) and First Team All-Mission League as a senior (2016)...Hit .365 as a junior and .375 as a senior...Named MVP of the IMG National Classic as a senior. John is currently a senior on the USC baseball team.
