The key is creating routines that reinforce our new habits that will help us achieve whatever our goals might be. Routines Breed Habits: Write A Contract To Yourself (enforces commitment) This is what I want to do and there is no option B Stick it to your wall, background on Phone, sticky note in car Pick a certain day of week or time of day you’re going to do “the thing” (reinforces discipline) Weekly podcast, gym 6 days a week When it hits that “time” you know it’s time to do the thing Focusing In On ONE step forward TODAY (builds consistency) Forget about how long it’ll take, we’ll eventually get there Assess progress, make changes & keep going How is my progress? What’s working? What changes do I need to make? Repeat, repeat, repeat. These Habits don’t magically happen overnight, they take weeks or even months to build.
