Jason and Cory sit down with Derby County title winner and legend Alan Durban to discuss his career in football. We find out about Alan's early career at Cardiff (his debut was against Derby!) and why the signing of John Charles eventually led to Alan finding his way to The Rams. He discusses the beginning of his Derby career and eventually working under Brian Clough. We find out what Brian Clough was like and what he was like to play under and his psychological tactics! We then discuss Alan's passion for cricket and his cricketing career at Glamorgan and Derby seconds, we also find out about his passion for golf and tennis as well! 

We discuss how Brian Clough built the title winning side. We find out that there were some growing pains early on and why John O'Hare, Roy McFarland and Alan Hinton raised the levels of the club. We find out why Dave MacKay was a key catalyst in the early days of Cloughie's reign. We discuss the winning the First Division title and finding out about in sunny Spain! We also find out about the falling out between Cloughie and chairman Sam Longson that eventually lead to Clough's resignation. Were the players really considering a strike? 

When then discuss Derby's European Cup exploits culminating in a Semi-Final against Juventus. We find out about that game in Turin and learn that Alan wasn't initially selected in the team! Alan then tells us about how that game was fixed and about Peter Taylor's arrest at the stadium.

We discuss Alan's international career and his pride in playing for Wales. We find out about Alan's debut experience playing in Rio de Janeiro and playing against that great Brazil side (although Pelé missed out through injury)!

We find out about what it was like playing with and against legends of the game.

We also then discuss the rivalry between Derby and  Don Revie's "physical" Leeds United side. Alan then discusses his managerial career and his time as Assistant Manager under Roy McFarland at Derby County and his shift into the a mentoring role later on.
