Real Salt Lake head coach Freddy Juarez addressed reporters as the club opens his first preseason as the club's top brass, Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at the Zion's Bank Real Academy in Herriman, Utah. Juarez confirmed that Ecuadorian forward Joao Plata is no longer with the club, longtime midfielder Kyle Beckerman is "optimistically" expected to return in some fashion, and touched on the new faces in the crowd, like SuperDraft picks Dayonn Harris of UConn and Michael Wetungu of Michigan State; homegrown product Milan Iloski of UCLA; and MLS veteran goalkeeper Zac MacMath.
