Anneliese was a part of the Nitro Athletics Launch recently with Usain Bolt... She is a 400m runner who made the semi's in Rio and was part of the 4x4 team that made the final.
She recently moved from Sydney to Melbourne to train with Peter fortune whom was Kathy Freeman's coach and is looking to move up to 800m. We speak about what got her started in Athletics, the Rio games and also about the Nitro event in February

A third place finish at the 2016 Australian Athletics Championships has booked Anneliese Rubie on the plane to the Rio Games where she will make her Olympic debut.
Rubie first appeared on the international sporting stage in 2010 at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Moncton, Canada where she placed fifth in her 400m semi-final.
Rubie was crowned the 400m National Champion in 2015 and made the 400m semi-final with a personal best time and Olympic qualifying time at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing. She ran in the 4 x 400m relay in Beijing where the team (Gulli, Wells, Mitchell) ran the fastest Australian time in 13 years.
Nitro Athletics is a high energy, team-based competition that will stimulate the senses, highly entertain audiences and provide a level of competitiveness that not only delivers a commercially successful sports entertainment product for athletics, but creates a buzz around the sport and helps revolutionise the way fans look at athletics.
Nitro Athletics Melbourne will feature six teams of 24 athletes (12 women and 12 men). Teams will come from Australia and internationally and will be announced in the coming weeks. Nitro Athletics Melbourne will be staged on Saturday 4th and Thursday 9th, with a final on Saturday 11th February. Night one and the final of Nitro Athletics Melbourne will feature the same program with the Thursday night program offering a selection of alternative events.
Tickets for Nitro Athletics Melbourne will go on sale shortly, with sports fans able to register for tickets now at:
