This weekend Beth is a part of the Governor-General's XI playing against South Africa, in Sydney she has been playing at an elite level since she was 16, Beth is originally from Victoria but is now based in Queensland.

Mooney was a regular face around the Australian set-up prior to her international debut, travelling as back-up wicketkeeper to Alyssa Healy.

Breakout performances for the Australia A side and in domestic competition in 2015 were enough for Mooney to be selected as a specialist batter, making her Southern Stars debut in the 2015-16 T20 series against India.
