Dr Clare Hanlon is an Associate Professor and leads the sport management team at Victoria University. She has over 25 years' experience in sport and specialises as an industry advisor, researcher and teacher in facilitating greater participation in sport and physical activity. Her particular focus is on collaboration strategies to encourage females in leadership and participation in sport. In 2015 Clare was on the Victorian Minister for Sport Inquiry into Girls and Women in Sport and Recreation, and based on her research and advisory roles, in 2016 the Minister recognised Clare as a role model in sport. Clare is President of the Sport Management Association of Australia and New Zealand, and a Director on the Board of Gymnastics Australia.
