With over 20 years' experience as both a competitor and educator in the racing and equestrian industries on both national and international platforms, Lisa has had the pleasure of educating thousands of horses and humans and nurturing their career pathways.
Having ridden and worked on both sides of the globe for many very prestigious trainers including Australian Premiership winning Trainer Peter Moody, she understands the passion and dedication required to be successful in the ever changing racing industry workforce.
Lisa holds an abundance of qualifications in equine science, riding coaching and horsemanship, adult education, workplace training and assessment and counselling at diploma, undergraduate and post graduate levels. She is commencing post graduate study in Psychology in 2015 with a focus on education and some specific issues that currently challenge the racing industries workforce.
As Workforce Development Officer for Racing Victoria her roles include contributing to the growth and sustainability of the industry through the design, development, implementation and delivery of innovative programs to attract, develop and retain the approx 4500 industry personnel, in various roles by promoting career pathways and coordinating and delivering industry training in collaboration with key stake holders. Lisa has so far successfully achieved these goals through programs such as Speed to Safety, Racing Taster Days, Track Rider Programs and the International Jumps Jockey Scholarship to name a few with some exciting new ones on the way.
Lisa is also a Director of the Australian Jumps Racing Association, a Member of the Victorian Wakeful Club, which promotes the participation of women in racing and has recently been voted one of the top 40 most influential people in racing (under 40yrs of age) by Melbourne Racing Club.
