The satsumas were strewn across tangerine dreams
I assume they were there to declare fruitful reap
Mangos danced tangos in hearty fandango
So far from home yet only halfway from canto
The cantaloupes sloped to provoke finger limes
Leaving clementines the hosts with most to prize

.

Wildflowers showered affectionate petals
That kissed to tell tall tales of petulant nettles

Ladybugs hugged the tall grass as they passed over cloverleaves briefly to please
.

The centipedes eventually remembered where they’re meant to be
Suggestively the millipedes agreed
.
Mother nature nurtured every wildflower foreseen
Empowered planet earth to intervene
And while her methods may have been a little bit extreme
She certainly knew how to throw a party
.
The camel with the hammer toe made no attempt to hide
The razzle known to dazzle in its independent stride
The ostriches were furious
And curiously keen to go full emu on the lemurs while the harmless llamas leaned
Drunken monkeys hung from trees
Poking fun at summer breeze
Bums on seats a stunning feat
With two left feet and tongue in cheek
Baffled were the badgers
While the beavers deemed it heedless choking gophers unbeknownst to nosey beaks

Harmless llamas
In pyjamas
Daft bananas
Charming Dahmers
Otter hockey
Jabberwocky
Drunken monkeys
Sunken flunkies
.

Mother nature nurtured every wildflower foreseen
Empowered planet earth to intervene
And while her methods may have been a little bit extreme

There’s a yak out back waxing backs cracks and sacks

While combat wombats launch counter-attacks

.

The punch drunk skunks are clutching their junk

While the ferrets inherit a pheasant to clutch

.

There are terrapins developing a crush for blushing elephants

Touching up the skunks and the infernal funk is evident

.

Piglets in the twiglets with a thing for twitching cygnets

.

Cassowaries on safari making pass at Mata Hari

.

Mother nature nurtured every wildflower foreseen

Knitting quips while sitting on their fences are the flies
As they vomit out their varnish just to tarnish the termites

The tortoise smiles and lends its shell to save the China crockery
Sips in shade and makes a playful mockery of broccoli
