On this Friday Drop, I’m sharing why I stepped away from social media and returned to real conversations, genuine connections, and the value of being present with people.

After attending a real estate board meeting this morning, I witnessed something that reminded me why 21–22 years in this business has taught me so much more than contracts and transactions. There were people dressed for success, carrying the luxury bags and driving the luxury cars, but many were still trying to figure out how to take that first step toward representing a client.

So I shared what I know: Success in sales isn't about what you wear, what you drive, or how much you know about a contract. It's about how you connect with people and bring your authentic self into the conversation.

Your past careers, your life experiences, your personality, and your ability to relate to another human being are valuable assets. You don't learn everything by sitting in a corner analyzing every form and waiting until you know it all. You learn by doing, engaging, asking questions, and getting out there.

This episode is about rediscovering the real meaning of social media, embracing face-to-face interaction, and understanding that the greatest business opportunities often begin with a genuine human connection.

Put down the phone. Step away from the screen. Show up as yourself.

BE FRUITFUL: Help the Stuck. Elevate the Winning. Create Value.

What does it really mean to “be fruitful and multiply”? In this episode of Ruck’s Place Podcast, I take that biblical principle from the Garden of Eden and connect it to something we all have the responsibility to do—create, grow, multiply, and provide value to others.

I share a conversation I heard from a high-profile coach who charges $150,000 for a few hours of access to his room. When a guest asked whether she should spend her time helping people who are stuck or focus on people who are already winning and want to level up, his response was simple: don’t spend your time with losers because they will pull you down.

That answer made me stop and think.

As someone who coaches people through transformation, I've experienced the other side of that equation. People reach out because they want change. They ask questions, schedule conversations, and tell me what they want to accomplish—only to disappear when it's time to actually begin. Sometimes people don't necessarily want to be helped; they simply want to be heard.

But I believe there is value in helping people who are stuck AND adding value to people who are already winning.

Coaching is a two-party experience. The coach has to show up with knowledge, experience, preparation, and a genuine willingness to serve—but the person seeking the transformation has to show up too.

So where do you stand?

Are you looking for someone to listen to you, or are you truly ready to do the work?

And perhaps the bigger question is:

What have you been given that you are responsible for multiplying and using to create value for someone else?

Coming To Terms With The Responsibility of Being YOU!

There comes a point in life when you have to stop running from yourself, stop comparing your journey to someone else’s, and take full responsibility for the person staring back at you in the mirror.

Being YOU is a responsibility.

It means owning your choices, your gifts, your mistakes, your experiences, your growth—and even the parts of yourself you’re still trying to understand. It means recognizing that nobody else can live your life, fulfill your purpose, or become the person God created you to be.

The age of AI is upon us and has overwhelmed an entire generation. The idea of having a advanced society run by the pillars of technology seemed to be a great idea in the beginning. The advances in our society that a some point turned toward the ideal of convenience in almost everything we do has really taken a negative turn in many ways. The generations presented with the pacifiers for life, cellphones, pads, plugs, screens almost from birth has had an impact on our over society that is alarming. The introduction to AI has deepened the wounds to the body of people that collectively make up our society. The age speed in our computing took us by storm with software developers competing to deliver the fastest computer startups and connection to the internet was not enough. The quicker delevery of goods due to advances in logistics feed into the convenience idea. It all worked well to a certain extent. The robo dialers and robo assistants drove many of us to no end of frustration. No human being to answer my distress calls after the overseas call centers proved to be a complete mess for lack of a better term. Apps ruled the day with offers of service product and challenges to be addressed by no one on the any end after consumption and usage went bad. Then the motherload drop on us in the form of artifical intelligence. AI. At current time we are dealing with a system of systems that are intertwined and tangling as fast as I am writing this blurb. Houston we have definitely got some problems with not answers or solutions in sight. The overlap a pool once emptied, filled collectively by everyone who decided to add to the it has now turned on all of us.
